Machel is the firm’s portfolio strategies manager. She manages quantitative research and new product development for Brandes’ equity and fixed income products, as well as business strategy research. Machel also serves as a senior research member of the Brandes Institute.  Before joining Brandes, she worked as an equity analyst with a prominent New Jersey-based investment counseling firm. Prior to that, Machel worked as an institutional investment consultant.  She graduated cum laude, earning her BBA in finance/investments from Georgia State University (GSU). Machel earned her MBA from The Robinson School of Business at GSU. She is a board director and current President of the CFA Society of San Diego.  Machel has 15 years of investment experience.
