Machel Allen, CFA

Portfolio Strategies Manager

Machel is the firm’s portfolio strategies manager. She oversees product management and new product development for Brandes’ equity and fixed income portfolios, as well as business strategy research. Machel also serves as a research member of the Brandes Institute staff, a division of the firm that investigates potential opportunities arising from the influence of behavioral and structural factors on global investing. Before joining Brandes, she worked as an equity analyst with a prominent New Jersey-based investment counseling firm. Prior to that, Machel worked as an institutional investment consultant. She graduated cum laude, earning her BBA in finance/investments from Georgia State University (GSU). Machel earned her MBA from The Robinson School of Business at GSU. She is a current member and board director of the CFA Society of San Diego. Machel has 15 years of investment experience.
