Barry M. Gillman is the Research Director, Brandes Institute Advisory Board. In this role, he consults with senior management of the firm’s Portfolio Management Client Services Group on business and marketing issues relating to the Brandes Institute, the Brandes Fixed Income Group and marketing and product strategies. Previously, Gillman directed the firm’s Strategies Group; prior to joining Brandes in 2002, he led a global investment consulting firm and held senior positions with investment institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. He is a graduate of Cambridge University, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He is also a member of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego. Gillman has 38 years of investment experience, including equity and fixed-income portfolio management, marketing and business management.
