Machel Allen is a Senior Analyst on the Quantitative Research Team. She leads the firm’s quantitative research efforts for equities globally and performs research across all markets in which the firm participates. Allen is also a research member of the Brandes Institute, a division of the firm that investigates potential opportunities arising from the influence of behavioral and structural factors on global investing. Before joining Brandes, she worked as an Equity Analyst at Lord Abbett Investment Management. Prior to that, Allen worked as an Institutional Investment Consultant at Watson Wyatt and LCG Associates. She graduated cum laude, earning her BBA in finance/investments from Georgia State University (GSU). Allen earned her MBA from the Robinson School of Business at GSU. She is a past president of the CFA Society of San Diego and a member of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA). Allen has 18 years of investment experience.
