Brandes Investment Partners (Europe) Limited (“Brandes Europe”) was incorporated in 2012 and is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS management company pursuant to the European Communities (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) Regulations, 2011 as amended. Pursuant to this authorisation Brandes Europe is authorised to carry out collective portfolio management and individual portfolio management. As may be permitted under local law, Brandes Europe will provide portfolio management services to clients in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (“EMEA”) region.

Since the firm’s inception in 1974, Brandes LP has applied the value investing approach, pioneered by Benjamin Graham, to security selection and was among the first investment firms to bring a global perspective to value investing. The firm manages a variety of active investment strategies and applies its investment philosophy consistently in all market conditions.
Support for the research and portfolio construction process will be provided to Brandes Europe by Brandes LP. When a client engages Brandes Europe to provide portfolio management services, the client selects a particular mandate/strategy. Each mandate/strategy (for example: global equity, international equity, emerging markets, etc) is assigned to an Investment Committee at Brandes LP. The results of the research carried out by the Investment Committee at Brandes LP is provided to the portfolio management staff of Brandes Europe for their use in developing portfolios for clients of Brandes Europe, taking into account any client-specific guidelines and the circumstances of the client’s particular portfolio. Brandes Europe and Brandes LP may be referred to collectively throughout as Brandes / the firm.
