Successful candidates will provide effective, efficient valuation of companies, analysis of industries, and general support of the research process.  There is an opportunity for hybrid work, but there is an expectation that the majority of the work will be completed in the office.

 

The base salary for this position is $125,000 annually. 

Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with other team members and under the day-to-day supervision of the relevant team leader.

Collect industry data through extensive reading and field research.          

  • Readings include annual and other periodic company reports, third-party research, trade journals, various periodicals, books, journals, and electronic sources, such as databases and news and wire services.
  • Field research includes visiting relevant industry sites such as corporate headquarters, manufacturing sites, trade shows, and conventions.

 Synthesize collected data to address research hypotheses and establish intrinsic value estimates.

  • Tools include time series analysis; relationship among time series; financial modeling; scenario analysis; and country risk analysis.  

Job Requirements

Completion of the first year of an MBA program

Experience in a complex analytical role

Knowledge of accounting and finance coupled with basic knowledge of business strategy, operations, and marketing issues.

Quantitatively driven

Intellectually curious

Passion for investing

Fluent in English.  Other language skills preferred

CFA preferred

Knowledge of Benjamin Graham's value investing philosophy preferred
