If you know someone who would be interested in learning and engaging across multiple departments, we welcome them to participate in the consideration process.  Selected interns will gain knowledge of Portfolio Management, Research, Marketing, Client Services, Global Support, Mutual Fund administration, Trading and Product Management functions.  The program is intended to provide valuable, resume‑building experience ahead of post‑graduation job searches. 

This is a non-exempt/hourly position, and the pay rate is $30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Material creation, editing, proofreading.
  • Project coordination.
  • Data input/collection for Research.
  • Time with members of the Brandes Trading team, including institutional traders, to learn about the role of a buy side trading desk in the investment process.
  • Data reconciliation, cleansing and analysis. 
  • Communication with vendors.
  • Exposure to Compliance controls.
  • This role may also assist with other projects and learning opportunities as needed.

Job Requirements

  • The hours are expected to be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday for approximately 8 weeks.
  • Minimum 18 years of age (per labor law codes).
  • U.S. work authorization.
  • Willingness to ask questions and actively engage.
  • Technical proficiency, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ideally pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts, Finance, Business, or a related major with demonstrated academic or extracurricular excellence.
