Brandes Investment Partners Launches Small Cap Value Fund

SAN DIEGO, CA - February 20, 2018 - Brandes Investment Partners today announced the launch of the Brandes Small Cap Value Fund. The Fund (BSCMX, BSCAX, BSCRX) seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing predominantly in U.S.-based small-capitalization companies that the investment team believes are undervalued relative to their financial strength and upside potential.

“We are pleased to add the Brandes Small Cap Value Fund to our suite of value-based funds,” said Oliver Murray, Managing Director of Portfolio Management and Client Services at Brandes. “Identifying unique value opportunities hinges strongly on thorough research and analysis. In our experience, small-cap stocks are often under-researched. This provides us with a fertile ground for potentially undervalued companies that tend to be overlooked.”

The Fund is managed by a committee of experienced professionals who have an average of more than 19 years of industry experience. Having invested in small-cap companies since it was founded over 40 years ago, Brandes has the skills and knowledge to navigate this attractive asset class.
